|Description:||If you have ever tasted Racer 5 IPA Beer, and you like to drink whiskey, then this event is for you. |
Marko Karakasevic, 13th Generation Master Distiller at Charbay, has been changing the way whiskey is made since 1999 when he released Charbay Hopped Whiskey, Release I. It was a single batch distilled from bottle ready Pilsner beer, and quickly garnered a ultra premium cult following.
Jump forward to 2012 and the release of his newest innovation – R5 Whiskey: distilled from bottle-ready Racer 5 IPA Beer. At this tasting seminar you’ll taste:
~ Ice cold Racer 5 IPA
~ Charbay R5 Clear Whiskey (aged in stainless steel, no oak)
~ R5 Aged Whiskey (aged 22 months in French Oak)
Where else can you taste the beer the whiskey is distilled from, and also have the distiller himself there to tell you about it?
Also (as always) Marko has new projects brewing and will have some other treats with him, so be prepared to have a great time!
Tickets are $25 pre-sale / $35 at the door
This event is happening in conjunction with SF Cocktail Week which has many great events going on that week, including The Best of the West which is happening directly afterwards down the street at Tradition.
