Cocktail Club: Chasing the White Dog

Thursday March 4th 2010
7:00PM to 9:00PM

3200 16th St San Francisco, CA 94103

Max Watman will be on hand to tell his tale of moonshine madness! Join us as he leads a discussion of the history and culture of unaged whiskey and a tasting of a few recent releases from respected micro distilleries around the country. Elixir Proprietor H. Joseph Ehrmann will aid in the presentation along with a guest distiller or two... "Max Watman lays bare his Appalachian DNA as he tries to separate the myth and reality of his spiritual milk: moonshine. The result is an intoxicating blend of Raymond Chandler and Erle Stanley Gardner as Watman intriguingly and engagingly picks his way through the minefields of folklore and federal law. The most refreshing read on distilling I have found in years: fascinating and often fun."- Jim Murray, author of Jim Murray's Whiskey Bible Tasting to include: Marko K. Spirits' Doubled and Twisted IPA Whiskey Light, Hudson New York Corn Whiskey, Death's Door Whiskey and a special "white dog"

THIS IS A 21 and OVER ONLY EVENT. Government issued identification is required for entry.
